Product disclaimers
- • ActAcross does not record, store, or export audition video. Actors film self-tapes on a separate phone; the computer displays the AI scene partner only.
- • The AI scene partner is a rehearsal aid. It is not professional acting coaching, casting advice, or legal advice.
- • You are responsible for having the rights to upload and rehearse any sides, scripts, or other materials you provide.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, continuing in demo mode, or using ActAcross, you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms").
If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What ActAcross is (and is not)
ActAcross is a web application that helps actors rehearse scripted scenes with an AI scene partner on their computer.
The app is a rehearsal aid only. It does not provide professional coaching, casting decisions, employment advice, or legal advice.
ActAcross does not record, store, or export audition videos. If you film a self-tape, you do so separately on your own device (for example, a phone). The computer is intended to sit beside that device and display the scene partner.
3. Your responsibilities for scripts and sides
You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload, paste, store, and rehearse any scripts, sides, or other materials you provide.
You must not upload content that infringes others' rights or that you are not authorized to use.
You remain solely responsible for how you use rehearsal output in auditions or elsewhere.
4. Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping login credentials secure.
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, reverse engineer it except where permitted by law, or use it to violate applicable law.
5. AI-generated and automated features
Scene-partner speech, timing, and related features may use automated systems and third-party processors (for example speech-to-text and text-to-speech).
Outputs can be imperfect. You should review rehearsal behavior and not rely on the product as a substitute for professional judgment.
6. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. By using ActAcross you also acknowledge that policy.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ACTACROSS AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, AUDITION OUTCOMES, OR DATA LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the version date on this page and, where appropriate, requesting renewed acknowledgment in the product.
For questions about these draft Terms, contact the ActAcross team through the support channel published on the website (placeholder until counsel finalizes contact details).
